It’s a new initiative from the Department for Education to get more maths and physics students into teaching these subjects. Successful applicants will be awarded a valuable programme of support including a £15k grant!

The position is for an Assistant Coach for up to three hours each Sunday morning at Horndean Technology College (term time only) The starting pay would be £7 per hour plus holiday pay (£7.70 gross). The duties would be to:
– Greet all children and parents and give name badges and equipment
– Help set up and clear away equipment for each game
– Assist the Lead Coach in demonstrating each game or skill
– Give individual feedback/praise to each child
– Conduct a specific game or skill with a small group of children
The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate:
– An ability to communicate effectively with both adults and children
– Boundless enthusiasm; our classes are highly successful due to our energy and commitment to make the classes fun
– A high level of reliability
– A knowledge of rugby (desirable but not essential)
